Tented mischief
While we are united underneath one theme, there are five unique camps that make up the Mad Hatters Village, each with their own flair, creativity and particular mark on the multiverse, all working together to add exponential extra to the ordinary.

Our raison d’atre is to create a shelter from the storm, a warm, mischievous sanctuary where curious minds, open hearts, dark humour, and the joy of play collide.
Our offering takes the form of Family Therapy, sitting somewhere between whimsy and gravity, our daily sessions of discussion and debate are designed to expand your mind, challenge your beliefs, spark fresh ideas and deepen our capacity to connect and surrender.

CYMATICA is a sound camp based in Miami Florida.
Named after Cymatics, the science of how sound waves affect matter, our camps ethos or mission is to use music to bring people to a higher level of vibration and connection.
Music is at the core of what we do. Every year we highlight 30 DJs during 4 magical evenings at the LoveBurn. Our dance floor and bus are renowned as a destination for epic music and the best parties.

DisFUNKtion are a group of individuals that started off as one family and have now extended to over 20 nationalities.
DisFUNKtions aim is to build community and we have been doing so for the last 10 burns at Black Rock City.
With an eclectic music taste, we host parties and providing Flame effects, lasers and interactive art . This is our first foray into Africa , hopefully the start of many.

We are the Camp CurioCity. A Curious Collective, a new kid on the block born from the fusion of Nonsense Nation and M☆A☆S☆H☆E☆D having a baby.
We're a diverse, Local and international bunch of misfits driven by curiosity and a penchant for unconventional thinking.
We build connections and create unique projects, challenging norms and embracing the absurd. Think of us as intellectual party planners with a mischievous streak.

Infrastructure & Facilities
We have invested in our infrastructure over the years and store it on site in containers.
Whats provided
Bedouins
We hire large bedouins per camp - these bedouins are waterproof, offer deep shade and can accommodate personal camping tents under them, protected from the harsh desert elements.
Showers
We have a shower trailer consisting of 4 shower booths. We supply the water, biodegradable soaps, shampoo and conditioner.
Cooking
Each Camps set up is different, some communally cook, some offer kitchen facilities and each person cooks for themselves or brings their own prepared meals. Check with you camp leads to see how each one facilitates this
Consumables
Firewood and washing up is supplied to all camps, ice can be purchased on site each day and is the only item for sale at AfrikaBurn.
Additional infrastructure
Along with large sound and DJ setup, we have a bar, coffee station and lounge area with seating. We also provide fire brassieres and braai (barbecue) facilities.
